The Nigeria Olympic committee in conjunction with the Nigeria Sports For All Commission under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee, has concluded plans for the 2018 Olympic Day Celebration holding tomorrow across the globe.

In Nigeria the event, which holds in Lagos and Plateau states, will begin at exactly 8 am with participants engaged in physical exercises that will help them in burning calories thereby promote healthy living and physical fitness.

These include walking, jogging aerobics, cultural and sports display including demonstration. Last year over four million people took advantage of the opportunity provided to be part of the global exercise by participating while the number is expected to increase this year.

Secretary General of the Nigeria has charged Lagosians to turnout en mass to make the event a memorable one as he also appealed to corporate bodies to identify with the programme through sponsorship, which includes donation of t-shirts and other logistics.

In Lagos, participants will jog and walk from the National Stadium car park down to Ogunlana Drive and through Bode Thomas down to Alaka under bridge and back to the National Stadium Surulere where the event will be rounded off with a brief ceremony.
