Oluyole Babes beat GT 2000, as Plateau Rocks defeat Nasarawa Babes
Oluyole Babes of Ibadan, who lost to hosts, Delta Queens on Wednesday, bounced back yesterday by beating GT 2000 38 to 31 at the on-going second phase of the Zenith Bank Basketball League holding in Asaba.
In other games, Plateau Rocks beat Nasarawa Babes 55 to 39, while Sunshine Angels defeated Coal City Queens 52 to 23 to move closer to a final eight ticket.
Earlier, First Deepwater had defeated Immigration 44 to 33, IGP Queens beat Taraba Hurricanes 61 to 22, Customs lost to GT 2000 38 to 39, Benue Princess defeated Plateau Rock, while Zamfara Babes lost to Immigration 36 to 44.
An official of the Nigeria Basketball Federation said the games have been keenly contested, adding, “I think the idea of increasing the number of teams in the Zenith Bank Women Basketball League is paying off.
