NNL congress decides league kick off today
The Seyi Akinwunmi led Nigeria National League (NNL) adhoc Committee set up by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has revealed that the NNL annual congress will hold today in Abuja, as a precursor to the kick off of the League, reports allnigeriasoccer.com.
The adhoc committee was put in place on February 16, 2016 by the NFF to study and compose governance structure for Nigeria’s second tie football league
The committee also has Alloy Chukwuemeka and Dodo Isah as members, with Lawrence Katken as secretary.
They were mandated to get back to the executive committee of the NFF after four weeks.
The adhoc committee will conduct the Congress and are expected to announce a new date for the NNL commencement after the draws for the 2015/16 season have been performed.
The kick off of the League has severally been postponed following the decision by the NFF to set up the Adhoc Committee and the expiration of the tenure of the former League board, led by Emeka Inyama.
New rules and guidelines to run the league will also be adopted at the congress, which will involve chairmen of all clubs in the league.
Yesterday was slated for the arrival of members for the congress billed to hold at the Top Rank Hotel.
