Super EaglesThe Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) paid every member of the Super Eagles $2,000 each for the country’s victory over Chad in their opening game of the Gabon 2017 African Nations Cup qualifier in Kaduna on Saturday.

According to NFF Secretary General, Sanusi Muhammed, who disclosed the Eagles’ bonus for the win, “We are happy that the team fought very hard to break the very resilient Chad national team. This is a good start and it will help the confidence of the players to continue to forge ahead in the qualifiers.

“The NFF will continue to provide the enabling environment for the growth of football in this country.”

We will continue to do everything humanly possible to ensure the national team takes its special place in not only African football but in the world too.”

He also confirmed that each member of the team was paid a winning bonus of $5000.

“Yes I can confirm to you that each member of the Super Eagles team that played against Chad yesterday is entitled to $5000,” he said.
