NFF angry with Falcons, Flying Eagles, awaits coaches’ technical report
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) yesterday expressed its anger over the performance of both the Super Falcons and the Flying Eagles, who just crashed out of the on-going FIFA Women World Cup and the Under-20 World Cup in Canada and New Zealand respectively.
The Super Falcons were yesterday eliminated at the Women World Cup when they lost 0-1 to the United States of America in their last group match in Vancouver, Canada, while the Flying Eagles crashed out at the U-20 championship when it also lost with the same margin to Germany in the second round.
NFF General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi, disclosed in Abuja that the federation expected the teams to perform better than they did, saying that it provided all the enabling conditions for them to go beyond the stages they crashed out.
He revealed that the federation would not rush into any decision on the future of the coaches, saying it would be premature to take decisions since the NFF was still expecting the technical crews’ report.
