Neymar in ‘total war’ with PSG

Brazil striker, Neymar is at ‘total war’ with Paris Saint-Germain as he looks to force through a sensational return to Barcelona.

Tensions between Neymar and the PSG hierarchy has reached boiling point with the Brazilian ‘refusing to even speak’ to sporting director Leonardo, who is convinced that a suitable agreement with Barcelona cannot be reached this summer.

Neymar has, nonetheless, virtually told the club he has no future in Paris after reinforcing his desire to leave for Barcelona.

SPORT report that PSG are beginning to grow tired of the situation and the increasing hostility from the Neymar camp and will consider taking steps next week to work on his exit.

They also claim that Leonardo tried to bargain with Neymar in an effort to persuade him to stay for one more season by telling him that he could leave next summer.

But Neymar is remaining firm and is optimistic that a deal can be done this summer despite the bad blood between PSG and Barcelona proving to be a real issue in negotiation.

The French champions have dropped their asking price to £165million for Neymar, but have told Barcelona they are not interested in anything other than a straight up cash deal.

However, SPORT also claim that PSG will re-consider Barcelona’s swap deal proposal given the situation they find themselves in.

Barcelona were prepared to include Ivan Rakitic, Ousmane Dembele, Samuel Umtiti and Philippe Coutinho in a potential deal for Neymar earlier this summer.

The La Liga giants are open to offloading Coutinho after his underwhelming campaign last season and may be more inclined to offer him given PSG’s previous interest in the midfielder.

Neymar will return to Paris with the rest of his team-mates after today’s French Super Cup final against Rennes in China to continue working on his move away.
