The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has approved the participation of the national U23 team in the proposed African Peace tournament scheduled to hold at the Rojenny Stadium, Oba, Anambra State.

The tournament will also feature three Nigerian league clubs, FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Sunshine Stars and league defending champions, Kano Pillars, as well as Jomo Cosmos FC, Free State stars from South Africa and Lupopo FC from Congo Democratic Republic.

It will now hold during the Nigerian League mid season break rather than the earlier advertised July 19 to 24, chairman of the LOC, Mustafa Mohammed, said yesterday.

He revealed that all the necessary arrangements have been concluded, adding that all the participating clubs have indicated their interest and readiness for the tournament. “I am very sure of the availability of the clubs because they have sent across their acceptance letter and also their various federations have given approval of their participations.
