Nasarawa United’s Lafia Stadium gets artificial pitch
The Lafia Township Stadium, which is being renovated, will get an artificial pitch in time for Nasarawa United’s CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match against Senegal’s Generation Foot, officials have disclosed.
“The stadium is undergoing renovation with a new artificial turf being installed in time for our Confederation Cup match against Generation Foot of Senegal in February,” disclosed Nasarawa United chairman Danladi Isaac.
‘Solid Miners’, as Nasarawa are known by their fans, last featured in the 2007 CAF Champions League, as well as the Confederation Cup.
The Nasarawa boss also disclosed that the club, which finished third in the Nigeria league last month, would resume training on December 28.
