Muaythai Federation ready for National Sports Festival, says Egonu

President of Muaythai Federation of Nigeria (MFN), Paul Egonu, has commended the Federal Government for lifting the suspension of contact sports after several months of lockdown following the outbreak of COVID-19.

President of Muaythai Federation of Nigeria (MFN), Paul Egonu, has commended the Federal Government for lifting the suspension of contact sports after several months of lockdown following the outbreak of COVID-19.

Speaking at the weekend, Egonu reiterated Muaythai Federation’s desire to put up a good show at the 2020 National Sports Festival billed for Benin, Edo State, while calling on its athletes to continue with their individual training pending when the camp will open for the sports festival.
 
Egonu said the federation has constantly kept reminding its athletes to continue keeping the precautions against the novel COVID 19.

Muaythai will feature as a demonstration sport at the 2020 National Sports Festival.
