After what seemed like an eternity, also known as the international break, club football will return this weekend, heralded by a highly tantalizing fixture, the Manchester derby. We will take an in-depth look into that game and other club football fixtures across Europe as we will give you advice and tips on how to place your bets and win big on www.nairabet.com

It would be fair to say that a lot has changed since the first time these teams played against each other on the 12th of November 1881 as West Gorton(Manchester City) and Newton Heath(Manchester United), Newton Heath ran out 3-nil winners in that fixture that was described as ‘a pleasant game’ by the media. That was before both teams evolved into Manchester City and Manchester United, we don’t think ‘pleasant’ will be apt in describing games between them and the ensuing rivalry since then.

You will be forgiven to think that this installment of the Manchester derby will be contested without players, but just two individuals, Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola. All the talk and hype about this derby has been about the storied rivalry between these two men. They have faced each other eighteen times in the past, with seven victories to the Spaniard and three for the Portuguese.

Pep’s team will kick off the clash as league leaders after winning their opening three games, same as Manchester United, but a better goal difference puts them on top. They have scored the most goals in the league so far, hitting the back of the net nine times. However, Sergio Aguero, who has scored a third of those goals, will sit out this one due to a three-match ban he picked up for an elbow on West Ham captain Winston Reid in their last game. Kelechi Iheanacho or Nolito could be called upon to replace the Argentine.

Manchester United on the other hand, have built their early season success on a very disciplined defence, conceding just one goal in their first three games and notching up two clean sheets so far. The partnership between Eric Bailly and Daley Blind has been solid, while on the attacking front, Swedish enigma, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has equaled Aguero’s goal tally of three and the Swede will be eager to get one over Guardiola, whom he isn’t too fond of.

Manchester United will be without Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who injured his thigh on international duty and left-back Luke Shaw is a doubt after leaving the England squad with a calf injury, while for Manchester City; Bacary Sagna is a fitness concern after tweaking his hamstring and Vincent Kompany might not feature, despite returning to training this week.

Manchester United are slight favourites to win this tie as the odds on www.nairabet.com show. They have the home advantage and a strong defensive record, while the loss of Aguero will be a huge blow for Manchester City.

The Manchester derby will not be the only fixture we’ll look into in Europe this weekend. Elsewhere in England, Arsenal will be taking on Southampton and the gunners will be hoping to continue on their improvement to their beleaguerd start to the league, while Chelsea will hope to take advantage of any slip up by Manchester City to go top of the table by winning their own fixture against Swansea and continue their 100% winning start to the season.

In Germany, we expect the usual suspects in the form of Bayern Munich & Borussia Dortmund to win their games, albeit they will both be facing tricky opponents, while in Italy Juventus should beat Sasuolo and Roma should be able able to slightly edge Sampdoria. In Spain, Real Madrid and Barcelona should pik up relatively easy wins, while for Atletico Madrid, who are yet to buy a victory this season, an away trip to a Celta Vigo side yet to pick up any points so far, should be a very good platform for them to get their first win of this season.
