Mini Football Association of Nigeria (MAN) has concluded plans to start preparations for the forthcoming World Minifootball (WMF) World Cup in Perth, Australia in October this year.

Nigeria qualified for the global event in the Africa Nations Cup last year in Libya. At the close of the Africa Nations Cup in Libya, Nigeria was awarded the hosting right for the second edition of the AMC Nations Cup after submitting bid alongside South Africa.

The World Cup, which is the third in the series, has been scheduled to hold from October 1 to 11 in Perth.

At MAN’s inaugural executive committee meeting in Abuja, a committee to draw up structures and modalities for the hosting of the second edition of the Africa Minifootball Confederation (AMC) Nations Cup and National League were inaugurated.

The president of MAN, Andy Elerewe, during the meeting, urged committee members to show commitment and dedication towards the actualisation of terms of reference.

The World Cup Committee has the MAN Secretary General, Emmanuel Zira, as the chairman with four other members of the association.

Aside Zira, other board members of the committee are Yakubu D. Fada, Abiodun Animashaun, Adekoya A. David and Paul Igwe.

The LOC for the AMC Nations Cup has the MAN president as the chairman, while all zonal coordinators will serve as members.
