Warri Wolves FCPlayers and officials of Warri Wolves FC may have to go the extra mile to achieve their dream of progressing to the knock out stage of the CAF Confederations Cup this afternoon, if pre-match boast by visiting AC Leopards of Congo Brazzaville are anything to go by.

With a 3-0 advantage in their favour from the first leg, Leopards are bragging all over the city of Warri, Delta State, that it is end of the road for Nigeria in the competition. Warri Wolves is the country’s only surviving team in this year’s CAF assignment, following the elimination of Enyimba of Aba, Kano Pillars and Dolphin of Port Harcourt earlier in the year.

The Congolese Leopards came into the country with a chartered fight on Thursday with 18 players, 12 Officials and 80 supporters.

After a training session in Warri yesterday, an official of AC Leopards declared that they would do everything possible to win today’s game at Warri Township Stadium.

“We are here for real business and anybody who take us for a ride is on his own. We will beat your team tomorrow (today), he said.

Delta State Deputy Governor, Kingsley Otuaro, will lead the home team in today’s battle against the boastful Leopards.
And in their bid to mobilize fans for the match, Warri Wolves has declared the gate free for those wearing blue T-shirt. They have also made adequate security for the fans, according to the club’s Media Officer, Moses Etu.
