In its quest to attract quality membership, the Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) executive has embarked on a series of courtesy visits to various institutions, establishments and prominent persons within the metropolis.

During the week, the club, led by its captain, Col. Ade Sunmonu (rtd), visited the Oyo State Commander of the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ralph Igwenagu in his Onireke Ibadan office.

Presenting IGC’s recognition plague to Igwenagu, Col. Sunmonu said the visits were aimed at bringing corporate awareness, as well as adding quality membership to the prestigious club.

He urged the NDLEA boss to embrace the game of golf as a way of recreating and boosting his physical wellness.

The IGC boss also visited another important patron of the club, the General Officer Commanding 2nd Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Okwudili Fidelis Azinta at his Odogbo, Ojoo Ibadan office.

Next on the IGC schedule is a visit to the Governor-Elect of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, the traditional ruler of the ancient town, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, the Olubadan of Ibadanland and some major multi-national companies within the city.
