FOUR-TIME world champion Carl Froch waxed lyrical about Mayweather’s performance, but admitted his disappointment with Pacquiao.

“Was Pacquiao that poor or Mayweather that good?” Froch told Sky Box Office.

“Mayweather was that good, he was sharp, accurate. I wanted to see more from Pacquiao, I am disappointed.

“I was a bit disappointed with Pacquiao saying he thought he won.

“You can see when you are getting beat and outboxed. The best man won there tonight.”

Former WBC heavyweight Frank Bruno hailed Floyd Mayweather as a “craftsman” of his trade after his dominant unanimous points victory over Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather was too classy for his Filipino opponent as the judges awarded him the 48th win of his career with scorecards of 118-110 116-112 116-112 and in truth, it was an easy night for the American, who picked Pacquiao off at will.

Bruno told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Sportsweek programme: “In this generation you have to go very, very far before you can be a skilled craftsman, businessman, technician, professional and a king in knowing his craft.

“As a boxer you’ve got to admire him, he’s got to go down as one of the greats.

“If you look at Mayweather and understand him and work him out, from 16 until now he hasn’t changed in his attitude or whatever.

“He’s just got better with life and he’s older and I think he can go on until he’s 50 in boxing because he’s got the secret to looking after himself, he’s on his game and he’s a true professional businessman (and) entrepreneur.”

Regarding rumours of a rematch between the pair, Bruno added: “I’m not too sure if they can get another fight out of it. But, I don’t think – if he was to have another fight – Pacquiao would beat him.

“I respect Pacquiao, I like his style, his manner and what he brings to the table, and he’s a humble human being. But when a craftsman beats you, you’ve got to hold your hand up and say ‘fair is fair’ and Mayweather is a master of what he’s doing.”

Former undisputed heavyweight world champion Mike Tyson hailed “invincible” Mayweather and believes the American is untouchable in the welterweight division.

“I think he (Mayweather) won the fight, he was ‘pop-shotting’ Manny. Manny had a good beginning but (Mayweather) controlled it,” Tyson told Sky Box Office.
