Super Eagles’ midfielder, Victor Moses, has revelled in a wingback role, with Coach Antonio Conte presenting him with an opportunity to flourish since he was recalled to Stamford Bridge.

Moses confesses he relishing being a regular at Chelsea, claiming that he “always wanted to play for this big club”. Chelsea bought Moses from Wigan Athletic in 2012.

His signing was considered to be a way of bolstering the homegrown numbers at Stamford Bridge, although he did make 43 appearances in all competitions during his debut campaign.

Moses quickly slipped down the pecking order after that bright start, with loan spells taken in at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham. After three years away from west London, the 26-year-old has returned to prominence this term in a wingback role under Antonio Conte.

He is considered to be one of this season’s biggest success stories, and Moses admits he is loving life back in favour at the Premier League leaders.

“I’ve always wanted to play for this big club, it’s one of the best clubs in the world at the moment and I’m enjoying every single minute,” he told Chelsea’s official website.

“I just want to keep on working hard and helping my team-mates out.” Moses has started every Premier League game for the Blues since October 1, helping them to open up a 10-point advantage at the top of the table.

He is, however, taking nothing for granted as Conte’s side chase down major silverware in their first season under the Italian tactician.
“We’re not looking at the table at the moment, we still have 12 matches to play and we just need to take each game as it comes,” added Moses. “We just want to stay grounded and win as many games as we can between now and the end of the season.
