Super Eagles’ former striker, Dominic Iorfa, has lost his mother, Mama Saaveamo Mtem Yua.

Super Eagles’ former striker, Dominic Iorfa, has lost his mother, Mama Saaveamo Mtem Yua.

Iorfa, a former vice chairman of Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi, told The Guardian that his mother, who was 85 years old, passed on August 14, 2019, and was buried on November 8 at her village, Tse-Yua Atugh, Makuha, Ushongo Local Council of Benue State.

He revealed that the remains of the late Mama Mtem Yua were first laid in state at the late Inspector Mtem Yua compound located at No. 5 Late Judge Angwe Asen Street, off Gyado Hotels Road, Gboko, Benue State.

He said, “Mama was a great pillar of the family and we are deeply indebted to her for all we have achieved in this life.

“We want to thank everybody that supported us in this trying period and pray that God bless all of them.”

Apart from Dominic Iorfa, Eric Iorchor Mtem and James Leren Mtem, as well as many grandchildren, also survived the late Mtem Yua.
