Following the Golden Eaglets back-to-back triumph at the recently concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, foreigners are already scouting for young football talents in Nigeria.

The indication emerged at the Real Sapphire football tournament, which held in Epe, Lagos, recently with a number of foreign scouts in attendance.

The scouts, who came from different clubs in Europe, were at the tournament to look for budding talents.

Speaking at the end of the tournament, which comprised youth teams from 12 states in the country, the President, Real Sapphire Football Academy, Frank Peters, said Nigeria has the talent to dominate World football at all levels if properly harnessed.

According to him, that Nigeria won the U-17 World Cup is no fluke because from what was seen at the tournament, talents are bound in Nigeria that would continue to dominate the tourney.

He said that what is required is proper orientation and management of the youths and discipline on their part.

Peters noted that the scouts saw for themselves the reason Nigeria is dominating the FIFA U-17 competitions and could not hide their surprise because of the quality of talents that was displayed at the event.
