Power Lee assures Nigerians of World wrestling title

THE National heavyweight wrestling champion, Power Lee, has assured Nigerians that he has what it takes to be crowned the new World Wrestling Promotion African champion.
Power Lee, whose real names is Godspower Ikpide will on Easter Sunday this year, meet the reigning African champion, Ananzia of South Africa, in a title fight tagged, ‘Champion of Champions’ in South Africa.
He told journalist that having defended his title against great wrestlers like Black Heritage, Ugo the Great Nail, Strong Bone Erujeje and most recently, Mighty Man, whom he defeated on December 28 2014 at the Alesh Hotel International Ajah, Lagos, he was ready for the battle in South Africa.
The December 28 event in Ajah was the first of its kind in Eti-Osa Local Government Area and it was aimed at preaching Peace within the environs and Nigeria in general, using the sports to reach out to the youths to shun any form of social vices and embrace sport activities such as wrestling to positively engage their minds.
Power Lee said: “I am more prepared now and I am confident I will take the title from the South African.”
The champion, who was trained by the Late Abbey City and Jimmy Palm, said his experience as an amateur wrestler had been of a tremendous help to him.
“I will not disappoint Nigerians. I am using this medium to appeal to government, especially my state Delta, corporate organizations and well meaning Nigerians to come to my aid in order to enable me make my dream a reality.”
