GOLDEN Eaglets Coach Emmanuel Amuneke has reiterated his commitment to assemble a formidable squad that would surmount any team in next month African U-17 Championship slated for Niger Republic.

The former Super Eagles winger stated that preparations are in top gear to put the players in high spirit for the cadet championship.

Amuneke said that he was aware of the challenges ahead of his team, but expressed confidence that the Eaglets would do everything possible to come out victorious in the championship.

He explained that one of the major tactics the teams technical crew has succeeded in imbibing on the players was to approach every game like wounded lions.

He noted his wards have proved they are equal to the task ahead, going by their performance in the tune up matches.

Amuneke assured that he would work hard to keep the standard laid by his predecessors, who had coached the Golden Eaglets in past championships.

“What we need now is for the NFF to give the team more preparation ahead of the tourney in Niger. I am delighted by the assistance from the NFF so far,” Amuneke said.
