“It is also a prime celebration to showcase the sterner stuff and flaunt the skills of our young players and our members in various sports as well as the pragmatic steps taken by the out-going Executive Board to catch them young through the establishment of Jakande Tennis Academy.

“Of particular reference is the fact that our young talents some of whom had their maiden outing at this year’s CBN junior Tennis Championship, have continued to intensify and grow up basic skills in the racquet game.”

He said that the young players who are being groomed as future champions by the club include Emmanuel Jones, Samson Shakiru, Sunday Adeniyi, Lekan Adenekan, Olumide Olawoye, Muyina Agbebi and the Izonritei brothers.

According to him, the Estate Tennis Club is forging ahead by equipping and engaging their young players through coaching clinic and facilitating their participation at inter-club competitions, holiday summer coaching clinic and training.
