De Gea off for £40m, Hernandez for Arsenal amid huge Emirates clearout

STANLEY Accrington sees bright light on the horizon for Victor Valdes as Real Madrid set to return to Old Trafford for their main target – but the Arsenal revolving door appears to be in full swing

Great news for Victor Valdes – not only could his nemesis Louis Van Gaal be on his way out of Manchester United but current keeper David De Gea might just follow him.

The Daily Star claims that Real Madrid are ready to make sure all the forms are filled out properly, the Ts crossed and the Is dotted, to ensure no repetition of the summer farce that saw their main target trapped at Old Trafford for another demi-season at least.

The Bernabeu club are ready to cough up £40m for the Spain stopper, a move that could free Valdes from his life in the Old Trafford vaults, free from human contact and devoid of TLC from LVG.

To further cheer up United fans, they could be admiring their former striker Javier Hernandez whom the Star reports is subject of a big January bid from Arsenal after netting 19 goals for Bayer Leverkusen since being offloaded by Van Gaal in the summer.

The Gunners also want to sign Celta Vigo striker Nolito – according to Spanish website Don Balon – and are ready to offer Joel Campbell as a makeweight in the deal.

And it is all go at The Emirates. Not only have they been in talks to snap up of 23-year-old Mohamed Elneny from Basel for around £5m, seasoned veterans Mathieu Flamini, Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky could be on their way out according to the Mirror.

West Ham co-chairman David Gold has told the Evening Standard the club has no money left for new signings unless Andy Carroll decides to return to Newcastle while Swansea are braced for a series of bids from the Middle East for big striker Bafetimbi Gomis in January – so says the South Wales Evening Post.
