Cowrie RFC battle Barewa for 2017 NRFF Super Cup

All is now set for the 2017 Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) Super Cup billed to take place at the Old Parade Ground, Garki Area 10 (Opposite International Conference Centre), Abuja, today.

The game, which is between South West Rugby winners, Cowrie RFC, and their Northern counterparts, Barewa RFC, promises to be exciting as the two teams seek to establish the over all national champions of the league.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, NRFF Technical Director, Fasimoye Olatunji, assured that the necessary logistics for a successful event have been settled, adding that Rugby lovers would witness the best of the game in Abuja.

He noted that the Super Cup, which is an avenue to create the awareness of the sport in the country, would be also usher in the 2017 Rugby league session.

The Rugby federation also urged the various Nigeria Rugby clubs to start gearing up for the new league session.
