Promoters of the Calabar Sports Club have commended Ecobank for its support for the 2018 East of the Niger Inter-Club Tennis League.

President of the Club, Ambassador Asam Asam said regional sporting events like the ENIC Tennis League encourages creativity and excellence among the people as it affords them the opportunity to compete and socialize within their immediate community and beyond.

“The ENIC Tennis League offers participating states and clubs a platform to bond in friendship which is only peculiar to the game of tennis.

The league has built solid relationships between the two regions of Southeast and South-South over the years,” he said
 
He reiterated that this year’s event was a huge success due largely to partnership by Ecobank and other farsighted sponsors, who are concerned about creating a positive and engaging future for the youth. 

Asam who thanked the bank said the 2018 East of the Niger Inter Club Tennis league Championship (ENIC) had participants from 11 Sport Clubs representing nine states in South-South and Southeast.

He assured that the competition would be sustained and further extended to include more Clubs within the region.
 
Speaking, Godwin Eton, who represented Managing Director of the bank, Charle Kie, said Ecobank was delighted to support initiatives that boost youth development in the Niger Delta and Eastern parts of the country.
