Awo Idemili leads Group B, as ORSU Cup enters fourth week
Awo Idemili has shot to the top of Group B by beating Ebenator 3-0 in the ongoing Orsu Local Government Development Union, Lagos Branch Talent Hunt holding at the Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo.
Vincent Okwundu opened the score for Awo Idemili early in the first half through a well taken free kick, while Akachukwu Ike and Captain Gozie Ikedi made it 3-0 against Ebenator, who were reduced to 10 men when the goalkeeper was sent off for unsporting conduct.
Speaking on the performance of his team, President General of Awo Idemili Development Union, Bede Amaoele, assured them of the support of the town union in their bid of winning the trophy.
In the second match of the day, Umuhu Okabia and Eziawa played out an exciting goalless draw.
The competition, which is in its fourth week, has seen a large turnout of indigenes of the council resident in Lagos, as well as football scouts from around the country.
