Arsenal yesterday rejected a £30 million bid for Super Eagles’ forward, Alex Iwobi, but reports say the Gunners may allow the Nigerian to leave for the right fee.According to the Independent.co.uk, Arsenal want about £50 million for their attacker, who rose from the junior ranks to the main team.

The Gunners smashed their transfer record to sign Nicolas Pepe for £72 million last week. And they are hoping to recoup a large chunk of that money back through Iwobi.

They know Everton are desperate to bring in a forward after they pulled the plug on Wilfried Zaha. The Premier League transfer window slams shut at 5.00 p.m. today.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have reportedly agreed to allow David Luiz to join Arsenal for just £8 million. The Brazil defender wants to move to Arsenal and Frank Lampard is happy to let him leave amid escalating tensions. It was reported that Luiz became agitated when Lampard failed to guarantee him a regular starting spot in Chelsea’s first team.

Chelsea have confirmed Luiz did not train with the first team yesterday, but reject claims in France that he went on strike amid escalating tensions at their Cobham HQ.

Luiz is the latest big name star to kick off in this window after Koscielny refused to travel on Arsenal’s pre-season tour of America and Romelu Lukaku was fined by Manchester United for training with Anderlecht without their permission. Arsenal have already agreed a fee with Celtic over the transfer of Kieran Tierney, Sky confirmed yesterday. The left-back is London and looks set to sign ahead of today’s Premier League deadline.
