CHAIRMAN of the Ondo State Football Agency, Akin Akinbobola, has charged Nigerian coaches to always work hard to get the best out of the country’s talented players.

footballCHAIRMAN of the Ondo State Football Agency, Akin Akinbobola, has charged Nigerian coaches to always work hard to get the best out of the country’s talented players.

Akinbobola, who is also the president of Sunshine Stars FC of Akure, said Nigeria is blessed with highly knowledgeable coaches, who should use their talents to develop the game and the players.

Speaking at the meeting of the South West Chapter of the Nigerian Coaches Association in Akure, the LMC Director stressed the need for the coaches to always show commitment and passion for the game, adding that results and success would always testify for them in the scheme of things.

The ODSFA boss, who thanked Governor Mimiko for providing the enabling environment for football development in all sectors, challenged the coaches to take up the responsibility of discovering untapped talented footballers in all the nooks and crannies of the state and nurture them to stardom.

He told the coaches that if they performed well, it would be difficult for the country to think of bringing foreign coaches for the national teams, a development, which, he said, threatened the coaches’ job security and exposure.

He commended the coaches association for the good job done by some of their members who have brought laurels to the country in recent tournaments like the African Women Championships, World U-17 Championships, African Youth Championships and the African Cup of Nations.
