Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa has declared that Nigerian football would record better results this year. Musa, who plays for Saudi Arabian team, Al-Nassr, became the first Nigerian to score more than once in a FIFA World Cup match, after scoring twice against Argentina in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Speaking to sports247.ng, Musa expressed his optimism for the New year saying: “This year is going to be a great one for us as a team and as individual. We still have to book our 2021 AFCON ticket. We have that in mind, and we will give our best to achieve our aim in other football engagements.”Musa is also the first Nigerian to score in two FIFA World Cup competitions, after scoring twice against Iceland at Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup.
