70TH precinct secures Euro 2016 public viewing rights
In order to bring awareness on the forthcoming Euro 2016 football fiesta, one of Nigeria’s leading digital agencies, 70TH Precinct Limited, has secured the sole screening licence for Nigeria’s territory in the UEFA Euro 2016 public broadcast.
The licence gives 70TH Precinct the independent rights to market and organise the Euro 2016 public screening at parks in the Lagos metropolis. There, fans are expected to gather and enjoy the best of football nations Europe has to offer for the duration of one month.
Speaking on the event, the Chief Executive Officer, 70TH Precinct, Mr. Osamede Umweni, said, “Nigerians are passionate when it comes to watching football. We told ourselves that we needed to create a rare experience for the football fans not only to watch the game, but also to have an atmosphere of conviviality and several engagement platforms we would put in place for the fans.
“A huge number of Nigerians want to watch football games in a communal-like setting, we have that understanding and that is why we are putting together the Fan Park.
“The Fan Park will attract over 5,000 football fans daily and all the matches would be shown on a 60sqm screen, which is the biggest in the country. It would also feature series of exciting games and events for all categories of football fans. The Fan Park would definitely be an advertiser and sponsor’s delight.”
