Jameson Connects returns with Jesse Jaggz, Falana, Ajebutter

As a follow up to its first edition, Jameson Connects Nigeria is set to stage the second edition of the gig, which promises to take Lagos by storm. The gig will provide guests with the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the premium Whiskey in an unpretentious and very interactive space of Costain Gardens, Surulere, Lagos.

Billed for Saturday, February 15, starting from 1pm to 9pm, the Afrocentric co-producers of the Afropolitan Vibes, Ade Bantu and Abby Ogunsanya will curate the music stage. The Afropolitan Vibes is known for its monthly live music concert series & annual music festival in Lagos. It creates a unique platform to showcase alternative music with origins of Afrobeat, Afrofunk, Afro-hiphop, Afro-pop and Highlife, a perfect fit with the Jameson brand ideology.

For a day only, Jameson will bring together Jameson lovers in an immersive brand experience, which will include unique installations such as; a sneaker wall by Afrocentric designer Tunde Owolabi (Ethnik) with a sneaker shine section, food court with a broad selection of gourmet junk food, barber shop, arts and craft zone and high energy zones for gaming.

The music stage curated by the Afropolitan Vibes will see three exciting talents Jesse Jagz, Falana and Ajebutter take the stage for one-off performances. Though these acts have individual achievements, their love for contemporary Afrocentric music stands true.

Jesse Jagz has been popularly described as Nigeria’s Kanye West because of his unique ability to experiment with different genres of music from roots reggae to pop to R&B while maintaining his hip-hop sound.

Right off the back of her successful music tour, Falana, the singer-songwriter and composer recently began to make waves in the Nigerian music scene and has described her unique sound as ‘Soul Fusion’, her very own blend of Jazz, Soul, Afrobeat and R&B.

Joining Jesse Jagz and Falana is Ajebutter whose sound has since evolved from just rap verses with witty punch lines and word-play to a blend of soul, funk, hip-hop, African-sounding-music and pop. We can’t wait to hear classics such as Omo Pastor, Serenren and others.
