In line with their give back initiative, humanitarian Dr Yolanda N. George-David, popularly known as Aunt Landa, and comedian Alibaba, recently provided over 14,000 Nigerians with basic needs at the Aunt Landa Market Square. Held at Havilah Event Centre, Yaba Lagos. This year’s edition themed, ALSolesForSouls, was geared towards putting smiles on the faces of the under-privileged, especially school kids, whose parents cannot afford to send them to school.

The organisers of the event ensured that attendees were properly fed and provided adequately with food items, medical check-up, hair clippers, sewing and grinding machines to start-up businesses, clothes, laptops, all for free. Back-to-school items such as sandals, bags, and stationery were given to the children, and some exceptional kids were awarded with scholarships.

Speaking on the number of people that showed up at the event, Servant-In-Charge of Aunt Landa Bethel Foundation Dr Yolanda remarked; “Words fail me! I really cannot express how I feel. The fact that every single person that came to the market square left with a smile is quite satisfying and I can only be grateful to God”

Commenting on his involvement, the fair chairman of the market square, Alibaba said; “The Aunt Landa Market Square was a huge success. Over 14,000 people came out to shop, all for free. Even though I was part of the planning, I’m still speechless!”Some of the dignitaries present at the market square include Alibaba, Lolo, Rev. Paul Chikwem, Lepacious Bose, Nikki Laoye, and others.
