Last year, Afro-pop singers Wizkid and Tiwa Savage kept the internet buzzing with their rumoured love relationship. Now, their less-than-platonic friendship is translating into new music, as the two are set to team up for DJ Spinall’s upcoming single, Dis Love.

From investigation, everyone on the song has great chemistry — from Wizkid and Tiwa Savage on Ma Lo to DJ Spinall and Wizkid on Nowo. Expectation is high that the coming together of trio on a track is going to be a blast.

In addition to Wizkid and Tiwa Savage, DJ Spinall also enlisted the talents of Spellz, the gifted beatsmith responsible for a lot of Tiwa’s hit songs, including Ma Lo, the hypnotic Tiwa’s Vibe and the Duncan Mighty-aided Lova Lova.

As one of Africa’s biggest musical exports, Wizkid has been courted by a bunch of huge international brands, like Nike and Moschino. The Afro-pop star is now, cementing his affiliation with the global fashion industry, as he has sealed a management deal with Storm Model Management.

Last year, Wizkid made a big splash when he walked alongside Naomi Campbell to make his runway debut at Dolce & Gabbana’s SS19 Menswear runway show during Fashion Week in Milan, becoming the first African artiste to do so.

He also teamed up with Nike and Daily Paper for a limited edition jersey and capsule collection, and launched his own personal merchandise line, Starboy, in promotion for his then-upcoming concert at the O2 in London. Shortly after, he signed a global ambassador deal with CIROC and modeled in the campaign for a Ciroc X Moschino capsule collection.

Storm Model Management has a 30-year history of scouting some of the world’s most famous models – from Kate Moss to Naomi Campbell – and they set up Storm Artistes in a bid to “maximise and develop creative and commercial opportunities for significant talent outside of the fashion industry.”With a handful of extra curricular, Wizkid’s focus remains giving his fans real music as he gears up for the Made in Lagos EP release in 2019.
