Olamide Breaks Protocols, Meet President Buhari
Poised to carve a niche for himself as top entertainer and also meet top players of the Nigeria politics including the president of the country, indigenous rap star, Olamide Adedeji, finally met with President Muhammed Buhari during his visit to Ogun State on the occasion of the state’s 40th anniversary.
The self-proclaimed street king, who, incidentally, is an indigene of the state, was the headline act, at the grand celebration that held in Abeokuta, and which had in attendance, high networth individuals within and outside the state, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Head of Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan, and the state governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun among others.
Despite the heavy security detail of the president, ‘Baddo’ as Olamide is fondly by fans, didn’t miss a chance to meet and pay homage to the number one citizen. President Buhari seated in company of Obasanjo and Amosun was pictured turning backwards to speak with the rapper, as he took his hand in a warm handshake. The rapper had earlier been pictured with the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Oguwusi, Ojaja III.
