The Wale Adenuga Productions (WAP) has concluded the recording of a new season of the multiple-award-winning TV comedy, Papa Ajasco & Company Reloaded.

Papa Ajasco Reloaded

Commenting on the development, the Managing Director of WAP, Wale Adenuga Jr., said: “We have been receiving very positive feedback from viewers since we recently rebranded the Papa Ajasco & Company programme, and we are pleased with this new season, which contains a wide range of elements that appeal to audiences of different generations, especially the youth.

“Viewers are in for a special treat this season, as all the major characters now live in the same compound. This, of course, led to back-to-back hilarious encounters, all under the watchful eyes of their stern and no-nonsense landlord, and his vain and sassy trophy wife.”

The Reloaded Season 3 stars are Abiodun Ayoyinka (Papa Ajasco), Kayode Olasehinde (Pa James), Mojisola Oyetayo (Mama Ajasco), Victor Oyebode (Boy Alinco), Yetunde Barnabas Olayinka (Miss Pepeiye), and Bashiru Balogun a.k.a Big Bash (Ajasco) as well as a wide range of superstars, including Etinosa Idemudia, Saka, Ronke Oshodi-Oke, Emeka Okoye, Chichi King, Dayo Davies, Deborah and Anugwa (2017 AMVCA Best Actress).

Created by Wale Adenuga in 1996 as The Ajasco Family, the television sitcom is a spin-off of a feature film of the same title produced by Adenuga in 1984, which in turn is based on the comic Ikebe Super.

The story revolves around the Ajasco family and their comedic interpretations of major societal issues. The main characters include womanising patriarch, Papa Ajasco; his long-suffering wife, Mama Ajasco; their mischievous son, Bobo Ajasco; local playboy, Boy Alinco; promiscuous gold-digger, Miss Pepeiye, and illiterate Pa James.

The reloaded series is watched by millions of viewers across Nigeria and worldwide, through a strategic combination of terrestrial and satellite TV services providers, including NTA Network on Tuesdays, 8:00 pm – 8:30 pm; STV Network on Saturdays, 9:00 – 9:30 pm and WAP TV (DStv 262, StarTimes 116, GOtv 102, FreeTV 751, Play 275, and MyTV). There is a repeat broadcast on Tuesdays, 8:30 – 9:00 pm.
