Nollywood actress, director and producer, Uche Jombo, is leading several talented actors to cinemas with her new movie, Heaven on my mind, which has just secured a December 7 release date.

The actress, who has had her fair share of cinema runs with several collaborations with top filmmakers, such as Desmond Elliot and Emem Isong, would be making her directorial debut with this full-length feature. 

The highly-anticipated movie is the first collaboration between two talented actors- Uche Jombo and Ini Edo, who share the production credit, while the movie would be released under their film companies, Uche Jombo Studios and Minini Empire Production. 

Starring notable actors, such as Mercy Aigbe, Ray Emordi, Andrea Chika Chukwu, Femi Adebayo, Adunni Ade and Eric Ogbonna, the movie revolves round Ben Peters, who believes that marriage is a business transaction.

Peters works hard at it and by him, is a sexy wife, a goal getter, hardworking and intelligent woman, who never denied him sex.

Uche and Ini also star in the movie, with a long roll call of English and Yoruba speaking sectors.

Uche revealled that the movie is a breath of fresh air when it comes to storytelling, production and casting, adding: “The story, production and cast and crew-members brought their A-Game to the table.

“It is refreshingly different and I had massive fun and joy filming this.”

On this being her cinema directorial debut, Uche said: “I have directed several movies, but this being my first cinematic directorial movie is a huge mark in my books and I really appreciate everyone who had faith in me.

“Not only did I get to act with some of the most talented actors in the industry, I also got a chance to bring out the best in them through the lens. It was an amazing experience.” 

Uche ventured into the Nigerian movie industry in 1999, featuring in Visa to hell. 

She has since gone to make a name for herself as a screenwriter, actor, producer and director.
