VICTORIA Crown Plaza Hotel is back. For two months, the hotel was shut down by the management due to facility failure that had stalled business operation.

Now, the air conditioning system that had been malfunctioning is replaced with a higher capacity cooling system, interiors are redone with superior touch of class and royalty, and staffs are better trained.

The 49 luxury-room building is segmented into eight categories: Classic King room, Classic Twin room, Studio Suite, Deluxe Suite, Executive Suites, Penthouse Classic King, Penthouse Suite and Presidential Suite, with each category going for different room rates.

Speaking during a press briefing held recently at the hotel located at Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island Lagos, the new GM has pledged a number of reforms to heighten guest satisfaction and return rate.

According to him, there is a plan to make VCP hotel the most patronised and referenced luxury boutique hotel in Lagos. That is why several millions were expended on refurbishing the facility and retraining of staff, he said.

Aside the facility upgrade, VCP has also planned to introduce numbers of social events such as Lady’s Night, Karioke Night, Weekly Lunch, Friday Chop Night, Sunday Buffet Lunch to jazz up the joie de vivre of the hotel.

The hotel has also brought in a new Food and Beverage manager from Sri Lanka to oversee the food quality standard. VCP boss said the staff training will continue in order for the staff to get the right mix of luxury and comfort for which VCP guests crave. “We want our guests to have everything they need within the hotel premises, he said.
