SOUTH African Tourism (SAT) is working to ensure that Indaba 2015 exceeds the business expectations of both exhibitors and buyers.

SAT Chief Executive Officer, Mr Thulani Nzima said in a release that   INDABA will give exhibitors effective platform to showcase their products and services, and to do business. “INDABA belongs to them,” he said.

As the single biggest platform for African tourism businesses, INDABA attracts top players in the African tourism and travel trade “which in turn, attracts the best buyers in the world to INDABA.”

INDABA 2015 will take place at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre from 9 to 11 May.

INDABA Early Bird registrations for exhibitors closed on 30 November 2014. Over 400 exhibitors have confirmed their places on the tradeshow floor. Applications for the   buyer lounge have opened, and registrations are now open for both hosted- and non-hosted buyer applicants.     The   online diary system will be refreshed to ensure INDABA 2015 delivers an optimal number of exhibitor and buyer connections.

Last year, the tradeshow brought about increased use of the matchmaking system, with 4.4 meetings per participant scheduled as opposed to 3.3 meetings per participant in 2013. Nzima said, there will be better matching of exhibitor offerings to the individual business interests of buyers this year, adding that the system will also incorporate search filters to help exhibitors easily and quickly identify buyers most important to their business.
