Plantain Boy crooner, Enitimi Odom, popularly known as Timaya, has released Extended Play, Chulo Vibes, an entertaining mix of rhythms and messages that provide a very enjoyable easy listening experience within nine tracks.

The project, which was released on Friday, February 1, with the lead single, Balance is coming five years (2014) after the self-proclaimed Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, last dropped a music collection, Epiphany, which was the widely received.

The compilation, show is how the Dem Mama singer keeps re-inventing his music, perhaps showing how hard he works to stay relevant in the dynamic music space by staying true to the sound his fans know and love, an eclectic balance of afrobeat, dancehall and reggae.

“Chulo Vibes is a collection of music that I can say best defines me, my sound and brand. I am all about good energy, love, positive living, being thankful always, and you can hear all this on, not just the EP, but all my songs,” Timaya said.

The Ukwu master worked with different artistes such as Burna Boy, Tanzanian singer, Alikiba and Trinidad and Tobago dancehall star, Machel Montano and producers like like Chilz, KelP, and Christringz among others.

According to Timaya, the choice of artistes ius premised on the fact they are from the three major black regions of the world currently influencing music, fostering the spirit of unity and inclusion.

Born in Bayelsa, Timaya began his solo career in 2005 with the release of critically acclaimed Dem Mama, which also appeared on his debut album, True Story released in 2006.

With his second album Gift and Grace released in 2008, Timaya’s music has transcended beyond his early beginnings in the south to all parts of the world.
