The Delivery Boy

With the engaging trailer currently making the round on social media, Adekunle Adejuyigbe’s The Delivery Boy may be the next big thing to hit Nigerian cinemas.

Nollywood insiders and film festival attendees feel very impressed by the movie, which is set to hit the big screens by May 24. The movie was screened last year at some film festivals in and out of Nigeria and everyone that saw it agrees that the movie is indeed exceptional.

The movie tells the story of a young suicide bomber who runs away the night before a suicide mission, and on his way, meets a young prostitute and everything gets complicated from there.

The trailer is captivating, as it shows what is to come. It dips with scenes filled with a thought-provoking monologue and an intense dialogue. Great acting by the lead actor, Jammal Ibrahim, whose acting is really intense and very impressive.

Known for his cinematic work on movies like Isoken, Fifty, and The Bridge among others, Adeujiyigbe, who wrote and directed the movie brilliantly, showcased his cinematography and storytelling skills in the movie.

“Apart from the storyline, the actors are brilliant and worthy of mention is Amir, (Jammal Ibrahim) who is phenomenal throughout the movie. Amir takes on a rollercoaster of emotions from rage to jealousy to confusion, all with his face that tells a lot. It’s really hard to fault this movie really because it’s absolutely great from start to finish,” said a film critic.

Other actors in the movie are Jemima Osunde, Charles Etubiebi, Jude Chukwuka Chris Iheuwa, Kehinde Fasuyi and a host of others.
