The annual Muslim celebration, Eid, is this weekend and it’s a wonderful opportunity for many Muslim faithful to get dressed up, go to the masjid, enjoy with family and friends, and make lots and lots of Dua.

It is a time when everyone would love to look their best with no expense spared. From family gatherings to outings with friends and short vacations, people can’t feel the joy of Eid properly without wearing something new.

Ensure you dress up nicely for the day; if you’re going to be out and about going to the masjid or visiting friends and family, dress comfortably so you’re relaxed. If you’re spending the day at home entertaining guests, make sure your clothes won’t be a hindrance.

Given the fact that Eid is in the rainy season this year, colour palettes that are a little soft and cool would be a great idea, such as pastels to keep that fun, easy vibe. Try an all-white outfit; you’d look super fresh in it, too. Just make sure your clothes don’t get stained if it rains. If you have an evening engagement, include some dark outfits for a little more drama.

If you’re looking to dress up a plain outfit, add a sequined top, a glittery clutch, a bold statement necklace or flowers in your hair or hijab! Whether you are wearing a maxi skirt or a maxi dress, there are many ways to add some fun and glam to your outfit to make them special for Eid.

If you decide to go with an abaya, there are so many beautiful, dressy abayas in the market that you can wear; just ensure you add fun, colourful heels, some glitzy accessories and you’re good to go.

Don’t forget to spice up your outfit with accessories like sunshades, layered necklaces, and beautiful mules.
