Two of the industry’s notable crossover actresses, Sola Sobowale and Toyin Abraham, are the lead acts in the sequel to the box office hit by Omoni Oboli, Wives on Strike.

They join other popular actors Chioma Akpotha, Uche Jombo and Elvina Ibru to light up the sequel to last year’s hit, which was released in cinemas nationwide same year.

Featuring Omoni, Chioma, Uche, Ufuoma Mcdermott, Julius Agwu, and Keneth Okonkwo in lead roles, it was to zest up the movie and further add to its wholesome package that producer and director, Omoni, engaged Toyin, Odunlade Adekola, Sola, Saka, Chigurl and many others.

The first sequel of the Wives on Strike followed the story of a group of market women, who decided to take matters into their own hands against their husbands in a bid to stir them into standing up for a young girl, who they wanted to protect from the wishes of her own father.

Toyin, who played the role of Mama Bola, speaking with her fans via her social media handle page, asked the fans of the movie to keep their fingers crossed, as they are about to see the next biggest thing happen in Nollywood.

The movie was due for cinema release from yesterday, December 29.
