From the moment Folarin Falana, otherwise known as Falz in showbiz, set aside a whopping N30 million to execute his first ever live concert, it was obvious that the lawyer turned musician was on the verge of making history. And with the level of publicity and media hype that heralded The Falz Experience concert, many concluded it was going to be a blast.

The cost incurred for groove ranges from event production handled by Livespot and Bahd Guys Entertainment, the superfluous venue at Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, the cost of A-list artistes billed to perform at the event, including Olamide, Davido, Simi, Yemi Alade, Reekado Banks, Reminisce and others.

At a media parley with showbiz reporters held at the Black House Media office in Ikeja, Lagos, ahead of the concert, Falz was full of confidence about the project, as he reeled out a long list of top stars on the bill. Notwithstanding, many were skeptical about his decision to stage the concert midweek, as a against the usual weekend groove. But from his body language, it appeared Falz was out to prove a point.

As it turned out, the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, was the place to be, as fun loving Lagosians, celebrities, stakeholders in the showbiz industry, as well as family and friends of the artiste stormed the venue for the groove that lasted into the early hours of the following day. From the red carpet reception that saw different shades of fashion to the concert proper, it was indeed an exciting moment for guests.

An impressive outing, the event has been continuously described as the best music event of the year with not a single bad review yet. Knowing how critical Nigerians can be, The Falz Experience has set the record of being the most organically talked about show in the entire year. However, the truth remains that Falz has won hearts of many; the young man enjoys a lot of goodwill.

Putting in so much hard work and money has paid off a great deal for Falz the Bahd Guy. He’s steady setting record for his colleagues, having been the first Nigerian artiste to win an Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA), and now the first to host such a spectacular event for his first-ever headline concert.

From the stage design, lighting, choreographed dances and acrobatic displays to the spectacular entrance of Falz, endless supply of hits on the set list and wild crowd reactions, everything about The Falz Experience has been highly commended by guests. With top quality performances by superstar artistes and Falz collaborators such as Davido, Yemi Alade, Reekado Banks, Simi, Ycee, Chyn, Poe, Phyno, Reminisce and others, there were no dull moments.

Notable among celebs present include Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Richard Mofe Damijo, Alex Ekubo, Toke Makinwa, DJ Cuppy, Beverly Naya, Frank Donga, Bolanle Olukanni, Stephanie Coker, IK Ogbonna, Chigul, Deyemi Okanlawon and others. However, the biggest superstar guests of the night were the proud parents of Falz, Mr. and Mrs Femi Falana, who both happen to be successful lawyers and Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).

Also in attendance were the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, Lagos State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick and other distinguished guests.

Son of highly respected lawyer and activist Femi Falana, Falz was born into a family of three children. He attended St Leos Catholic Primary School, Ikeja Lagos and Olashore International Secondary School, Osun State. After studying law at the University of Reading in the United Kingdom, he moved back to Nigeria to attend law school and was called to bar in February 2012.

Falz passion for music can be traced way back to secondary school as a member of The School Boys. He later joined the choir in church and released a mixtape in 2009, which set the tone for his music career.

The singer, who is still a practicing barrister has decided to still keep that part of him alive and still goes to court when chanced.
