Recording studio to cater for young talented musicians opens in Lagos

With the opening of Arojah Audio Visual Digital Studio, Nigerian musicians and upcoming artistes can now heave a sign of relief. The studio, according to the visioner is open to all musicians, music producers and singers, who want to record their music at a subsidized and affordable rates.

The multimillion Naira outfit, which is located in Alapere area of Ketu, Lagos is the brainchild of Rev. Apostle Samson Albert Arojah, Primate of St. Peter’s Cherubim and Seraphim Band Nigeria and Overseas.

Explaining the rationale behind the initiative, during the media tour of the facility, the preacher and composer of hymns, said that the aim is to empower young talented musicians with good, helpful ideas and messages to the society via the instrumentality of music. He said that the music industry needs people like him to change the concept of many artistes who portray the industry in a negative manner.

“I think we can change the concept and redirect their orientation and let them know there is a better way of doing music without making it look as if music is entirely bad. In the music industry today what you hear is either love, shake your body and shake your head, I think we can address some of these things but if you are aloof how can you address them. You can’t supervise or teach people what you don’t know and that is why some of us are coming into entertainment to change the concept and I believe things will get better,” he noted.

The studio, which is full digital and full analog is capable of recording any type of music, be it Fuji, hip-pop, among others. The control room has musical instruments such as mixer, keyboard, drum sets, mini keyboard, electric guitar, monitors, base guitar, saxophone, sound card, master recorder, computer, as well as 32 input and 32 output.

The occasion also witnessed the unveiling of Arojah hymnal volume 2 written and composed by the primate himself. According to the Apostle, the studio is where the audio recording of the 412 hymns that make up volumes 1 and 2, will take place.
