In a bid to reach retailers at a stone’s throw from home, Ruff ‘n’ Tumble (RNT), a premium children clothing brand recently opened another store at Novare Lekki Mall, Lagos.

Speaking at the opening, the General Manager (GM), Sales and Retail Operations RNT, Mr. Sanni Umar, said he has come from the UK to bring international standard of retailing to compliment RNT’s existing standard.

“We cover a wide range of wear from age zero to16.

As a brand, we take opportunities when they arise hence the need for this new store.

This particular mall is the biggest in Lagos and we got on the platform to show our brand to more communities within the area and gain more customers.

“As a premium quality brand, we are comparable with brands like Next and other big brands in the international world, and at such, we have set prices within our range” he said.

Umar added that the ideology is to come closer to their customers within the area who no longer have to travel all the way to mainland or the Island to shop.

“We are taking our business to the customers as opposed to having the customers travel to us”.

Margret Banjo, Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) RNT and Retail Consultant from the UK said: “As the biggest manufacturer of children’s clothes and brand in West Africa at the moment, we design our products and manufacture them here in Nigeria.

“And as a brand in tune with trend, our additional Ankara wears aside the regular wears, goes beyond the fabric, it is also the signature, the quality of the product.

“We wanted to make it easy for our customers due to the nature of the Island, we discovered that our stores are not easily accessible to some of our customers hence the need to come here and give them the opportunity to shop at their convenient in a comfortable environment” she also added.

Rating the first day patronage, the COO said even before the doors were fully opened, they had customers who were excited and wanted to have a peep of the scenario.

“A number of them have bought from us and we look forward to a better future.”
