Having premiered at Planet Nollywood in Camberwell Green, London, a new movie, Omiran (Giant), produced by wave-making actress, Tolulope Oke, has gone live on Libra TV on Youtube for the delight of movie buffs worldwide, starting from this month.

Shot on different locations in Ibadan, Nigeria, the movie, which explores the theme of love and integrity, features notable actors including Femi Adebayo, Funsho Adeolu, Muyideen Oladapo, Rose Odika and Oke, and others.

Oke, who has produced three previous movies including Bi Ala, Adun and Home Sick, is optimistic it would receive wide acceptability from movie buffs due to its unique storyline and flawless production. According to her, the production is an adaptation of a real life experience and people would find its characters fascinating.

“I produced the movie with a view to impacting on people and encouraging them to refrain from getting involved in nefarious activities. Its premiere in London was a success due to the immeasurable support from Naija FM Radio Station, Ben TV and Godfather Promotion. The Nigerian community in the UK also gave me a lot of support and I am so grateful to them,” she said.

The movie, which runs for about one and half hours, features ROC-Raphael Olakunle-Collins, (Adebayo), a die-hard drug baron, who puts up a front to evade the searchlight of the law. His love affair with Ayinke, (Oke), proves to be his Achilles heel and he tries desperately to keep his head above troubled-water as the plot thickens.

Oke, a University of Lagos sociology graduate, who further honed her acting craft with a Diploma in Dramatic Art from the Obafemi Awolowo University, has featured in several movies and TV series including Dazzling Mirage directed by veteran film maker Tunde Kelani; Arewa Okunrin, Alebu, Eko and Zone 222, an M-Net TV series.
