Olakira signposts expectation for forthcoming EP with Sere
Join Forces With WCB First Lady, Zuchu
Afro-pop singer and songwriter, Ebenezer Adelusola Adefemi well known as Olakira has signposted what to expect from his soon-to-be-released Extended Play (EP), entitled 4play with the first single, Sere.
In the new record, the producer cum instrumentalist join forces with Tanzanian singer, Zuhura Othman Soud, better known by the stage name Zuchu, to deliver the single just as permeable as his earlier released Maserati.
The song title, which connotes play in Yoruba, is about inviting a love interest to come to hang out and play. The lively background noise, which somewhat gives the impression that the song was recorded live, reflects the tone of the lyrics, as both artistes work seamlessly to personify each word.
A smooth blend of Afro-pop and dancehall rhythms, the record carries melodious Afrobeat rhythms to which Olakira sings about finishing off the night with his love interest by going back to his place after the party.
The music video gives a playful vibe with lots of vibrancy from the dancing to the high fashion that the singers showcase that is likened to a carnival of African colours, draped by all shades of beautiful African women.
With production imprints of great beat makers like Simba Tagz (Zimbabwe), SterryO (Nigeria) and Drumatik (African-American), Tanzanian director, Kenny gives more life to the record through his dexterity in the music video.
