Oba Saheed Elegushi still in celebration mood
Oba Saheed Elegushi, the Oba of Ikate land in Lagos is still basking in the euphoria of his 40th birthday celebration, despite not celebrating it to high heavens, as many had expected.
This is because partying comes naturally to the monarch. While such a tag might not be odd with a young man, it is fast becoming an unpalatable one as far as Oba Elegushi is concerned.
It was learnt that this informed the Oba’s decision to opt for observing the Lesser Hajj and not celebrate his 40th birthday and that his decision to embark on the trip is basically to change the nomenclature of a party bird, which he has been silently tagged.
Oba Elegushi (Kusenla III) was born to the family of late Oba Yekini Adeniyi Elegushi of the Elegushi Royal Family of Ikate.
The monarch, who is married to Olori Sekinat, was officially crowned Oba on April 27, 2010 at his late father’s palace at Ikate-Elegushi in Lekki.
