Nigerian Queen drills borehole for community in Rivers State

Winner of the Nigerian Queen 2018, Rachael Amune and the Nigerian Queen beauty for purpose outreach team has donated a clean-free borehole to the Abonnema Girls Secondary School in Akuku Toru Local Government Area in Rivers State.

The project is aimed at curbing the challenges of accessing clean and portable water in Nigeria especially in Niger-Delta communities due to frequent water pollution.

It may be recalled that the Edo born won the prestigious Nigerian Queen in June last year and have executed lots of projects as part of her ‘Beauty for Purpose’ outreach some which include sponsoring medical bills, visitation and donation to several less privileged homes and awarding scholarships to students.

According to queen Amune, “water is the most important natural resource of life and therefore our existence as humans largely depend on the quality of water we consume. It is in this regard that I am handing over this newly constructed borehole in Abonnema Community, to provide clean, portable and quality water to every household.”

She added that due to the frequent water pollution at the Niger delta region it has been almost impossible for schoolgirls to drink clean water.

However her projects are aimed at impacting lives and ensuring that they outlive her reign while solving major needs.

The light skinned beauty said that beyond the crown she will be setting up an NGO where she can fully deliver impactful projects that will bless humanity.

“My reign has been very fulfilling and I consider this as a high point of my reign.

Knowing that some girls in a local community are now able to access clean water because of my contribution.”
