Modela unlocks new device with African-inspired line

Nigerian fashion house, Modela set fire to the stage during the week with a colourful display of its African-inspired fashion line to usher in the launch of the new Camon 12 series, aptly themed Unlock A New Cam*era.

Held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, it was a fusion of tradition and modernity and a practical, visual representation of how the series has progressed from a regular camera phone to the best any angle camera in 2019.

The event started off with a fashion show showing the history of camera from the 1900’s till date, visually represented by clothing from the period, gradually morphing into mobile devices and how they have revolutionised fashion and beauty.

A host of important personalities and celebrities were also at hand to welcome the release of the remarkable device. Coming with a glossy nebula cover in colourful variants including midnight black, aqua blue and Bordeaux red, attendees were treated to an explosion of colours and variants.

It was an evening of fun and excitement as the models strutted down the runway to the delight of the captivated audience. Each of the pieces was a perfect blend of old traditional outfits, perfectly blended with modern pieces and how they are worn now. Beads, lace, chiffon, sequins, satin and other fashion variants were mixed and matched to create the pieces and even jeans featured amongst the male models, which perfectly contrasted with the traditional jackets, lending credence to the theme of creating a new cam*era.
