The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, was one of the eminent personalities that honoured Lagos society lady, Hajia Biola Okesanjo, better known as Montai, at her 50th birthday bash.

The superlative shindig that remains the Owambe to beat for the remaining of this year was held at the Federal Palace Hotel on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Christmas Eve, with top administrators in attendance.

The spacious hall of the upscale Balmoral Events Centre was well decorated with fascinating ribbons festooned everywhere to give it the befitting ambience. The event was as colourful as its upwardly mobile guests, who no doubt, would live to remember the superb hospitality they were treated to.

There was an array of entertainment spectacles and musicians on the bandstand, but the peak was the exciting performance of young Fuji sensation, Afeez Adesina, aka Destiny Boy, who serenaded the birthday girl to the delight of the colourful guests before Queen Ayo Balogun mounted the stage.

It was a memorable day for the celebrant and guests despite the fact that there was fuel scarcity in town, as the attendees sure had a nice time.
