Kiki Omeili Is In-short Film Festival Best actress

FAST rising Nollywood actress Kiki Omeili was last Saturday at the Four Point Hotel in Lagos named the best actress of the 2015 edition of the annual In-Short International Film Festival. Kiki, who is best known for living her role delightfully in the wave making movie ‘Married but Living Single’ was named best actress for her role in the short film ‘Deluded’.

FAST rising Nollywood actress Kiki Omeili was last Saturday at the Four Point Hotel in Lagos named the best actress of the 2015 edition of the annual In-Short International Film Festival. Kiki, who is best known for living her role delightfully in the wave making movie ‘Married but Living Single’ was named best actress for her role in the short film ‘Deluded’.

Kiki who has featured in a couple of critically acclaimed Nollywood productions including Kpians and Gbomo Gbomo Express ran over Rachel Eme Isaac (Seeing Betrayal), Bisola Aiyeola (Life of a Nigerian Couple) and Hannah Ojo (Last Act) to emerge winner of the coveted category.

Fast rising actor Okey Uzoeshi got the best actor award of the festival of short films that was initiated by notable film aficionado and administrator Victor Okhai five years to reward excellence in the short film genre. This year’s edition and the 2014 edition have held with the support of Access Bank. An elated Kiki went on her social media handle to thank the organizers of the award and the jury for the recognition. ‘’The award means a lot to me.

It means I have to work hard to win more’’ she enthused. Over the last 5 years, the In-Short Film Festival has set for itself the challenging but rewarding task of celebrating the best of short films in and around the continent of Africa. The festival has from inception, rewarded and encouraged originality in short film production and has served as a platform for the discovery of talents.
